Enough? Enough...Enough!

Crazy pill count:
AM 125 Nuvigil, 20 Adderall
afternoon 10 Adderall
PM 10 Zyprexa, 30 Prozac

I am a member of the amazing Patti's Digh's Verb Tribe. I am on a 37 day, daily, writing expedition. As I expected, it has been an eye opening experience since the first blink. Patti has a magic way of helping you create a space for insight.

We have daily writing prompts to execute on brown paper lunch bags, using sharpies and crayons. I highly recommend this. Writing with a sharpie is absolutely delicious, especially the way the bag soaks the ink into it's fibers.

A lot of interesting issues, I was unaware of, are being brought to the forefront.

A common theme that has manifested on my brown paper lunch bags, is the idea of being important, worthy, and enough; as well as having something important and worthy to say.

First of all, who is this elusive authority of enoughness I speak of, anyway?
Me? You? Your mom? Your dentist? My 3rd grade teacher?

Is enoughness even a word? My dictionary says no, but I say it should be.

Enoughness.

Am I enough?
Is what I have to offer to the world enough?

The answer is simple.
Yes. Yes. Yes.
Of course.
We are all enough.

Repeat after me...

Being crazy fits into this nicely.

If I'm crazy does that mean I'm not enough? The chemicals in my brain don't always get along the way they should. Is my mental illness infested brain enough? Some days, especially depressed days, I might not get much done. I don't have much to offer to the world when I wake up with a bad case of the crazies.

Is it enough?
Am I enough?
Are you enough?

Yes. Yes. Yes.
Of course.
We are all enough...just they way we are.

Repeat after me...

And we're pretty damn fabulous to boot, so by golly, keep sending those offers out into the world; because this world can't get enough of fabulous you...

Until next time...

  1. So VERY cool...I was in the first Verb Tribe in February, and it's one of the most affirming things I've ever done. AND, I'm writing every day now, but I got so much more out of it than just the promised daily writing practice, I got a whole bunch of tribe mates and a deeper understanding of myself and who I am at this point in my life. I hope you share your blog with your tribe mates! We need more Patti Dighs in this world. Enjoy your journey!
