Saving the World One Jeep at a Time

Crazy pill count:
AM 10 Adderall, 2.5 Zyprexa, 200 Lamictal, 30 Cymbalta
afternoon 15 Adderall, 2.5 Zyprexa
PM 2.5 Zyprexa

The day finally came. My car was towed away as the final step in the process of donating it to NAMI. I was going to take pictures, but didn't. I couldn't watch. I've never been good with goodbyes.

I was saddened that an auction company picked her up. Her being my fourteen-year-old Jeep, Elenorita. I named her after the ficus tree I kept in my bedroom during high school, Elenore, that I named after Emma Thompson's character in Sense and Sensibility. Strange, yes, I know, but I have never claimed to be normal.

I had the romantic notion that Elenorita would be driving crazy people, like me, all around town; when in reality, she will probably be sold for parts as the side of the towing truck said:

Auction
Every Saturday
11:00am-2:00pm
Open to the public

Of course I didn't let her go without a little letter for the new owner, or perhaps for her, left in the glove box.

Sometimes saving the world is obvious like world peace or putting an end to world hunger.

Other times it's just as simple as saying goodbye and letting go of what no longer works.

Until next time...
